Our vision is to ensure that no alcoholic within the correctional facilities of the Area C Northeast Region is ever beyond the reach of the A.A. message.
We recognize that while our coordinators have worked tirelessly in their individual facilities, we are "uniquely useful" when we work together. By transitioning from a collection of isolated efforts to a unified, centralized committee, we fulfill our primary purpose more effectively through:
Unity of Purpose: Speaking with one clear, professional voice to prison administrators to ensure A.A. remains a trusted resource behind the walls.
Consistency of Service: Using shared digital tools and standardized operations to ensure that meetings are never dark and that "The Hand of A.A." is always there, regardless of volunteer rotations.
The Master Bridge: Seamlessly connecting the confined alcoholic to the outside Fellowship through a robust Prerelease and Shadowing program, ensuring the journey to sobriety continues the moment they walk through the gate.
Our Commitment:
“I am responsible. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible.”
